dooyoo 31st in Sunday Times European-wide internet league table, 5 July 2000

dooyoo.de, the consumer opinions site which started in Germany less than six months ago, has been given 31st position in the Sunday Times e-league which lists the top 100 internet businesses across Europe.

dooyoo.de is one of the fastest-growing internet communities in Germany. More than 80,000 members submitted over 150,000 opinions in its first four months. In May, dooyoo.de submitted 14 million page impressions. That same month £12 million was raised in second-round funding.

Now dooyoo has come to Britain. Launched only a month ago, dooyoo.co.uk seems to be following in its German counterpart's footsteps. Founded by Julian Pancholi, Giles Richardson, Jonathan Menmuir, Corin Jenkins and Pablo Slough, the consumer portal offers reliable assistance to all consumers who are about to make a buying decision by providing the platform for other people to write about what they think of that product or service.

Julian Pancholi, CEO says: "People love the site because they know that they will be getting genuine advice which really helps them to make better choices. Furthermore, by sharing their own wisdom and putting their own reviews about anything on dooyoo.co.uk, they are also rewarded with dooyoo miles which can be exchanged for cash, vouchers, or given as a donation to a charity of their choice. We are delighted that we are getting over 1,000 new opinions and more than 250 new members every day joining this free community."
